Arden is not doing well. His life force has been compromised with all the magic and poison he has been exposed to. I have halted any further damage, but I can not help him until tomorrow. This conflict requires our immediate attention, though. There is a very large creature about to drive a massive hammer into Bellrauthian. Meanwhile Krajka and the large snake are stuck in the mud with the bloodcat. Meanwhile, several archers and a spellcaster sit on the far side of the mud. This is horrible situation. Arden put up a fake wall, but I think it’s time to put up a real one so that she cannot escape. Bellrauthian nearly falls, especially since the dwarf decided to collapse the ceiling on everyone in the mud, but we come out victorious. It looks like Kuzma is going to finish Chezna off. I don’t need to witness that. I can hear “Lily” arguing with him. Why do we need to fight over this now? Tensions are too high.
What a filthy hole this has become. I hope this complex isn’t too expansive. Perhaps if I investigate the corridor to the right, I can avoid most of the mess. Meanwhile, my comrades do what the do best – beat a hole in the wall. That’s easier than climbing for me. They seem to have found someone else. A gnome! I don’t get to see those often. It seems he has been captured here for a while designing traps for the bandits. Well, he’s on our side now, even though he nearly finished off Arden. I can’t blame him for being scared. Arden did transform into something pretty unnatural looking. Why would he even do that? I only found a bunch of horses. One is pretty nice though. He has some magical horseshoes. At least we can give Kuzma a new horse.
I have to wade through this pit of mud and blood – I’ve seen worse I suppose. Childbirth can get pretty ugly. At least I can rinse off after I get through. That’s always a good feeling. This little gnome is very handy. He’s helping out with the traps, which is delightful. We don’t really need to deal with anymore poison.
Apparently we have come to Chezna’s chamber. Not too much here… except for the massive cat in the back room. There is little I can do to help except to keep everyone alive. Krajka is practically in its mouth and being torn apart. It has been a long time since I have had to heal anyone like this. Bellrau finally finished it and proceeded into the room beyond. It seems the cat was guarding the staff we were looking for. The staff is a snake… the snake is the staff. This is very confusing, but it seems fond of Bellrauthian. I hope this doesn’t cause a problem. After all, it’s not ours. She also kept a scroll in here.
It’s of detect magic?
Who needs that? The paper is probably worth more.
