April 29th, the year 751 BC (supposedly)
The stage. Back again, only this time the scenery was of what we thought reality. I’d been trapped this time. Had the others truly been trapped or were they acting for me?
My initial thought was we were now in, or seemingly in, Lamordia or the Necropolis. The crowd wore heavy furs, luxurious and full, but sleek and finely tailored. They cheered and laughed, seemingly so amused with our actions.
Kraj ran for the closing curtains, angry and roaring. Arden went for his bag. Why? And Esera seemed concerned with the place going down in flames again. When Lemot appeared she wisely tried to put out the flame. Why would he burn it down when the performance had finished? Was this just to show support for once?
I called out for help, that we were being controlled, but they could only laugh. Kraj charged Lemot, slicing him and I lost track of Esera. The crowd was ignoring me, only amused by everything. They deserved to burn. Kraj echoed my thoughts. Arden was ready to shoot.
Honestly I can’t find Arden or Kraj to be very good actors. They might well be caught up in this, helping to stage my eventual downfall but I don’t think they’re in on it. I’ve seen both mentally snap and turn sick. Only Esera seems unaffected. Nothing bothers her except when we look into what’s going on. She only got angry at those moments of climax. It was ever curious, and I just don’t understand the irregular behavior…
She’s rarely cooperative, always snapping and interrupting me. She gets angry at the worst times. She tries to tell our story at the worst moments of exposition. Why? And only when proof was thrust in front of her would she reluctantly help. Forget helping us explore!
You should kill her.
No, that wouldn’t help. She may have information important to what’s going on.
If she’s causing a problem, kill her.
I don’t know that she is more than just eyes and ears for Lemot or whoever is playing this con.
Faris, killing isn’t the best solution. You know better.
Then interrogate her. I could certainly talk to her.
No, Ellelana, I don’t think your methods are any better.
What about Seregil?
No, I’m not interested unless I need to take her apart mentally.
She does seem curiously resilient.
So kill her.
No, none of this will help. Besides, Lemot’s dead. All the crowd vanished. Lemot the puppet! And the door led to the Mists. I’m feeling a bit dazed, I must be hungry and tired.
These papers are mostly gibberish.
Kraj is holding Esera down, good. Why is he all bloody now?
Arden, where is he?
The mists, yes I’ll close the door-
All those servants. Lemot is still alive?
Where am I? What’s going on? Damn Esera, shut up!
Ivan? He tells me this date. He doesn’t seem to know what’s going on either. Another pawn.
Is this still Illusion? Kraj is getting violent. Esera won’t shut up. She yelled at me again. Damn you bitch, leave me alone. Don’t let her touch you. Kraj claims she did something to him.
We’re in Tepest. That’s dangerous for everyone. We’re closer to Viktaal. This is not good. April? Only the 29th. Same year. Maybe?
Kraj is taking all the food. Well I wasn’t going to eat it anyway, it’s probably poisoned, but I should still get some in case. What did he do to the stew? Arden won’t wake up-
I like the ruins, it’s an old shrine. Ezra maybe?
Who is this guy? He has long blades but I told Kraj he may be cursed. He won’t calm down!
Arathmis, brown hair, 5’10”. He wears armor beneath loose clothing, dirty work clothes. He doesn’t stick out and seems to be able to blend into the darkness easy. I suspect magic from his sudden appearance.
Kraj threatens the other man. I try to remind him how dangerous it is. He runs off.
They are all around me! What do I do!
Poor Arden, he’s caught up in this. Catatonic again.
Kraj is cursed, they’re going to knock him out. Probably Esera. She left and then this guy-
No Faris! I can’t, what can I do?
Stay away! Stay away from me! All of you! No one gets near Arden!
